Video footage of Rishabh Pant telling Rovman Powell to leave the field, arguing with the umpire and Jos Buttler goes viral
Needing 36 off the last two overs, Delhi Capitals found themselves very much in the encounter. Despite chasing a gargantuan target as Jos Buttler smashed his third century in the season, the Capitals managed to make things extremely jittery for Rajasthan Royals with the clash finely in the balance with 12 balls to go.

However, Prasidh Krishna had other ideas as he sent down a maiden wicket 19th over, one which all but settled the encounter in the Royals’ favour. Unforutnately for them, Rovman Powell wasn’t done yet with him taking a special liking to Obed McCoy.

Powell went out hammer and tongs, wiping out Obed for three sixes in the first three balls to put the onus right back on the Royals. And as he clobbered the third six of the over, the Delhi Capitals camp went up in arms owing to the height of the delivery with the entire dugout berating the umpire to give a noball.
However, it didn’t come with the third umpire not being referred to as well, a move which left captain Rishabh Pant infuriated. He was seen livid, seething as he asked Rovman Powell and Kuldeep Yadav to leave the field in protest, a demand which was denied by the onfield umpires.
Unable to intervene, Pant sent on Pravin Amre to implore the umpire to ask the third umpire to have a look at the delivery. However, Nitin Menon refused to be swayed with proceedings eventually getting back on underway, a disruption which stole the momentum away from Powell and allowed the Royals to ease their way past the finishing line.
