The third and final ODI encounter between India and New Zealand saw Rishabh Pant get 10 runs off 16 balls with him deciding to bicker with Harsha Bhogle in a viral video
Prior to the third ODI encounter against the Kiwis, the 25-year-old southpaw chatted with commentator Harsha Bhogle on Wednesday. For the national team’s 50-over format, the keeper-batter stated that he would prefer to bat first in the T20I format and finish in the middle order in ODIs.
Rishabh Pant Argues With Harsha Bhogle After Comparision With Virender Sehwag, Video Goes Viral
What did Pant say to Bhogle?
In T20Is, he would prefer to start as an opener, while in ODIs, he would prefer to bat at No. 4 or 5. He exclusively bats at No. 5 in Tests. When a batter bats in different locations, the game strategy undoubtedly changes, but the coach and captain also consider what is best for the team and where the player can have the biggest impact. Anywhere he has the chance, he will attempt to give it his all. While planning is not as necessary in ODIs as it is in T20s, prior to the competition, Pant stated on Prime Video.
Great innings by #RishabhPant .
I think after this innings BCCI should give captaincy to pant. #SanjuSamson #IndVsNZ pic.twitter.com/PR831JGm3Z

However, Pant was displeased by one of the arguments made by Bhogle when the latter questioned the discrepancies in records between the white-ball and red-ball forms and drew comparisons to the late cricketer Virender Sehwag.
His white-ball statistics aren’t all that horrible, he guesses. Right now, a comparison is meaningless as he is only 24โ25 years old. He can only be compared when he will be at the age of 30-32. Before it, he does not understand the comparison.
Fans could take his audacity.
Furious supporters attack ‘arrogant’ Rishabh Pant for his remarks before the third ODI between India and New Zealand, saying, “This is absolutely not a future Indian captain.” The majority of fans didn’t take well to this because they thought Pant’s response was somewhat arrogant.
Here are a few responses:

Pant again failed miserably.
Speaking of the game, the visitors were given the opportunity to bat first and have had difficulty scoring significantly due to frequent wicket losses. Additionally, Pant, who came to the crease in the middle of the order, had again another poor performance as he managed just 10 runs off of 16 balls before being removed by Daryl Mitchell.
