Virat Kohli dropping a sitter off Jasprit Bumrah didn’t do India any favours either with the hosts building a much needed partnership out in the middle. As the two batters dug deep and showed gallantry, it looked like England finally had the unison it needed to salvage the tie.

It was then that India once again lit up the embers of their win with Mohammed Siraj striking in consecutive deliveries. He sent back both Moeen Ali and Sam Curran to see back on top with the visitors need three wickets in 20 overs to take a 1-0 lead in the series.

And as Ollie Robinson walked out to face the hat-trick ball, Virat Kohli did his best to ruffle Robinson’s stay in the middle. The Indian captain was in Robinson’s face right from the word go as he left no stone unturned to berate him.
