Tumakbo United’s Seth Guingab was stomped on by a Payton’s Place player during an AAU basketball game as seen in a viral video
If you’re using social media platforms, especially X/Twitter and Instagram, chances are you must have encountered a viral video featuring tension between the Payton’s Place and Tumakbo United players.
For the unversed, during a youth basketball game between Payton’s Place and Tumakbo United on Sunday night, tensions escalated when a player stomped on another player’s head during the AAU event.

A member of Tumakbo United recorded footage showing their player, Seth Guingab, catching a ball and being knocked over by an opposing player.
As they scrambled for the ball on the floor, a third player became involved and stomped on Guingab’s head before being restrained by a referee.
At the time of writing this article, the police are investigating the incident, and the aggressor has been expelled from the Payton’s Palace team. The aggressor has been identified as a 13 year old teen but has not been named currently with 13 year old Seth suffering a concussion as per the family’s lawyer.

Roderick Guingab, the victim’s father, permitted KTVU to share the video of the incident, which has since been picked up by other outlets.
It is currently unknown whether Seth has sustained any injuries or head trauma from the incident at the AAU game. Payton’s Place condemned their player’s actions during Sunday’s match.
What Did Payton’s Place Say?
Taking to Instagram, Payton’s Place released a statement on Monday as condemn their player’s behavior.
A statement from the team read, “There is footage circulating of one of our team’s games this past weekend. Unfortunately, the footage is not a positive representation of our team and our values.”
“The behavior exhibited by our player is unacceptable and is being taken seriously. We do not condone violence. Our players are expected to conduct themselves with integrity on and off the court. At this time, both teams are working together to resolve this matter.”
What Did the Police Reveal?
The Alameda Police Department revealed that both children involved are 13 years old, but declined to share further details due to their juvenile status. However, Payton’s Palace followed up on Tuesday, revealing that the player in question is no longer with the team.
“His behavior was unexpected. We are working to provide him with resources to prevent this in the future,” they said. “Violence has never been a part of our team. On behalf of the Payton’s Palace family, we sincerely apologize to the player injured in this incident, his family, and all those impacted.”
