The first fight on the main card of UFC 263 was a light heavyweight contest between veteran Paul Craig and Jamahal Hill.
The former Scottish fighter seemed have got the betting odds going against him, yet his performance against his American opponent was one of the leading contenders for ‘Fight of The Night.’

It was Jamahal Hill who acquired the center of the octagon right as the fight started, Craig secured the clinch and went for a full guard.
From there he transitioned into armbar which broke Hill’s hand he tapped but the referee didn’t see it, then Craig secured triangle and unleashed a fury of punches to finish the fight at
Hill was undefeated on his professional record, and was moving into this fight with a great momentum, he also got involved in an altercation with Paul before the fight.
But after all was said and done Craig came out victorious in their fight and handed Hill first loss of his professional career.

After the first round submission loss Jamahal Hill looked devastated. On the other hand, it seemed like Craig came out with vengeance to answer his critics.
In his post-fight speech, Paul Craig credited Jamahal Hill for trying to stay in the fight with a snapped arm and then walked through the video of him developing the strategy to destroy Hill’s arm.
He then talked about how the referee did not stop the fight and so instead of continuing to crank on the snapped arm, he shifted to elbows to go for the stoppage. However, it was good call from Craig and a hell of a performance.
