Why did CR7 target Xavi?
When the Messi-Ronaldo dispute first arose, Xavi was playing for Qatari club Al Sadd and he offered his opinion, favouring his former friend Lionel Messi. Cristiano criticised the 2010 World Cup winner for playing in Qatar and for now being forced to travel to Asia when the journalist asked him to comment on it.

Al Nassr is one of Saudi Arabia’s most successful clubs and has won the national championship nine times. Their most recent championship-winning season was in 2019.
According to Italian Journalist and Transfer Market specialist Fabrizio Romano, the contract’s duration is from now until June 2025, and its annual remuneration, including business deals, is close to €200 million. Cristiano will be receiving nearly €70 million in a year for playing for Al Nassr and the rest of the amount consists of some advertisements and other business deals.
