After defending 11 runs in the final over and sealing his team’s 7-run win over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 on Monday, Rajasthan Royals (RR) bowler and West Indies cricketer Obed McCoy performed the legendary celebratory gesture from the blockbuster film – Pushpa-.
With 11 required off the last six balls, McCoy kept his calm to get Sheldon Jackson and Umesh Yadav to bring joy to the Royals camp. On the 14th anniversary of the most-watched T20 league in the world, it was possibly the finest IPL match of the current season. What McCoy Actually Said?
He is feeling good, this is his first game since last year. He had come under pressure, he was feeling good. “It was just a matter of getting over the jitters and playing hard,” McCoy said after the game.
Normally, he would trust his skills. But, because he has not played much cricket, he trusted his abilities. Further, he went about attempting to carry out the plans as he would in a regular situation.
He knew the hitter would be seeking for power. So, he slowed it down and sent them to the longer portion of the field. Shimron Hetmyer was simply urging him to bowl the way he typically does and give it his all, McCoy explained.
