Caught On Camera! A Video Of Novak Djokovic’s Team Preparing A Secret Drink Goes Viral On Internet

A controversial video from the Paris-Bercy Masters 1000 semifinal between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Novak Djokovic has gone viral. When Djokovic’s strength began to wane in the third set, he went to his bench at one end of the court and requested a drink. His physical therapist, Ulysses Badio, started preparing it in the audience before he realised a fan was photographing him. They were being filmed, and the physical trainer Marco Panichi warned his colleague to keep the incident quiet.

The video appears to show Djokovic’s support staff preparing a drink before they become aware that they are being captured during the Serbian’s victory over Stefanos Tsitsipas. As soon as the team realises there is a camera on them, they move their seats to block the view. The water bottle was given to a ball girl, who handed it to Djokovic.

Over 3.5 million people have watched the video since it was posted on Twitter. Renowned tennis journalist Ben Rothenberg referred to it as “bizarre” and requested that players’ drug use be made more clear.

When asked about the unknown substance he appeared to sniff at Wimbledon this year, the 35-year-old Djokovic, responded that it was a “magic potion.” After falling to Rune in Sunday’s final, Djokovic was not questioned about the drink.

Meanwhile, since the ATP rankings’ introduction in 1973, Rune is the first player to have defeated five of the top 10 players in a single tournament other than the ATP Finals. Hubert Hurkacz, Andrey Rublev, No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz, who retired hurt in their quarterfinal match, Felix Auger-Aliassime, and others were among the losers he claimed on the way to his first Masters 1000 final.
