After losing to Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon final, Nick Kyrgios immediately violates the tournament’s all-white dress cose once more after having rocked Jordans previously
Nick Kyrgios, who lost to Novak Djokovic in the men’s singles final in 2022, could not pass up the opportunity to violate the Wimbledon clothing code one last time.
The top-seeded player defeated Australian outsider Kyrgios in four sets on the centre court despite making headlines for his antics during the competition. Djokovic triumphed 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 to win his fourth consecutive Championship.

Kyrgios immediately disregarded SW19’s traditional all-white dress code by donning his red Nike Air Jordan cap to conduct his on-court interviews after the game. This year at Wimbledon, he has worn his red hat on multiple occasions and insisted on donning red Nike Air Jordan sneakers to walk to the court.
“What’s that’s saying? Any publicity is good publicity, right?” Kyrgios hit back in a spiky exchange when asked if he considered himself “above the rules” by a journalist earlier this week, reported by Mirror.
After missing out on the biggest victory of his career, Kyrgios, who yelled at his players’ box throughout the stressful match, had spectators in stitches during his on-court interviews. He made a funny evaluation of Djokovic, saying, “Yeah, he’s a bit of a god, I’m not going to lie,” before expressing gratitude to the umpires, with whom he has frequently had disagreements.
The relationship between the two has historically been tense; Kyrgios last year called Djokovic a “tool” and a “weird cat.”
At the All England Club, the tenseness had subsided as Kyrgios said a “bromance” had grown between the two before they were spotted laughing together on Saturday during their workouts.
When the serious business started on Sunday, the relationship remained friendly because both parties understood that losing their composure may empower their adversary.
The head-to-head between them is now 2-1 in their three meetings as both the first encounters were won by Kyrgios but Djokovic yesterday took his revenge.
