Currently, a video of fans going crazy over a Neymar look alike at the Brazil vs Switzerland match in the ongoing FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 is going viral on social media

Brazilian star Neymar Jr. couldn’t play in Brazil’s second group G clash against Switzerland due to a recent injury.

Despite Neymar’s absence, Brazilian fans believed they saw him in the stands, after they mistakenly spotted a look alike. A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media sites.

Neymar Suffers An Injury

Neymar Jr. is undoubtedly one of the top stars playing at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Sadly, the PSG forward suffered an ankle injury during Brazil’s opener against Serbia on Friday, November 25.

Fortunately, the injury doesn’t seem too much of a concern as Neymar is expected to return in time for the Round of 16. That is however, in case if the four-time champions do indeed manage to qualify.

According to Brazil’s team doctor Rodrigo Lasma, Neymar suffered a lateral ligament injury on his right ankle playing against Serbia.

Viral Video Of Neymar Jr. Look Alike

With the recent injury, Neymar remains sidelined and with his absence confirmed for the clash against Switzerland, Brazilian fans least expected to see the former Barcelona forward.

However, fans went crazy after spotting “Neymar” in the stands, which eventually turned out to be a crazy look alike. The fans who was wearing sunglasses and a hat, looked exactly like the PSG star. Despite later realizing that it was just a look alike, lots of fans still went up to him to take a picture.

Brazil vs Switzerland

Meanwhile, the Brazil vs Switzerland match turned out to be a thrilling affair as Casemiro scored the lone goal for the South Americans. However, it was Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior, who stole the spotlight and received the man of the match for his performances. Brazil will now face against Cameroon in the next Group G match on December 3, 2022.
