After the Delhi Capitals (DC) star refused to take pictures with two people at an unidentified location, fans allegedly attacked the Indian opener. DC opener Shaw may be seen arguing angrily with a female in a viral video that was posted on social media.

Following the horrendous occurrence, it is said the local police have filed a case against the miscreants.

The Oshiwara Police, according to news agency ANI, has filed a charge against eight persons over an alleged attack on Shaw’s friend’s car after the Indian batsman declined to take a selfie with the group of fans for a second time.

Videos of the alleged confrontation between Indian cricketer Shaw and a fan have appeared on Twitter numerous times and are going viral.

The incident happened on Wednesday in a cafe of the Sahara Star hotel, according to the police. A story from the Indian Express claims that Shaw was allegedly hit with a baseball bat when the player from Mumbai declined to take any more pictures.

An officer, as per The Hindustan Times outlet was quoted saying:

While they were having dinner, two people, including a woman, approached them for a selfie. The cricketer initially cooperated but the two kept harassing them for more pictures,” an officer was quoted as saying.”

Meanwhile, as per a report by Times Now outlet, police have detained social media personality Sapna Gill for allegedly attacking Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw at a nightclub in Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra, Oshiwara.

The complainant’s (Prithvi Shaw’s) car was damaged in the case’s accused, who subsequently wanted a settlement of Rs 50,000 to end the dispute, as said by said DCP Zone 9 Anil Paraskar. He further said that no counter allegations or counter FIR have been filed as of yet and they will investigate “if the other side makes any complaint.”
