An old video from the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games has resurfaced.

During England’s group match versus Northern Ireland at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, Housby was on the pitch. During a lull in the action, Lizzo’s song About Damn Time was playing over the speakers, and the 28-year-old was seen dancing to it while emulating some TikTok motions.

Then, as play began, she swiftly returned to her game face. The Commonwealth Games Federation posted the video on TikTok, where it has received close to 60 million views thus far.

With a victory over Northern Ireland 71–27, England advanced all the way to the tournament’s semifinals. In the semifinals, Australia defeated them 60–51, and they lost their chance to win a bronze medal when they lost to New Zealand 55–48. Australia defeated Jamaica 55-51 to earn the Gold medal.

England was the defending Commonwealth Games winners after defeating the hosts Australia in a thrilling match at the Gold Coast in 2018. Helen Housby had her famous moment occurred at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

With only 20 seconds left in a hotly contested championship, Australia had tied the score at 51-51. Housby missed a shot with only four seconds left on the clock but was still given a penalty. As she scored the goal that gave England a historic gold medal at the Commonwealth Games, the superstar displayed no symptoms of strain.

As soon as the buzzer sounded, ecstatic celebrations started, and the incident later won a prize at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award. One of the most recognisable netball players in the world, Housby currently represents England and plays for the New South Wales Swifts in Australia.

She has participated in two World Cups and three Commonwealth Games, helping England win bronze medals in 2015 and 2019. This summer, Housby is set to compete in her third World Cup. The star was chosen for the England team that will compete in the event in South Africa from July 28 to August 6th.
