Lietkabelis head coach Nenad Canak grew upset at Rytas head coach Giedrius Zibenas and stormed into the tunnel, where he was confronted by a Vilnius owner.
Canak never apologized or admitted any culpability when everything was said and done. After the game, he merely doubled down, saying in Lithuanian, “I’m walkin’ heeyah!”
Secondly, at the Lithuanian Palace, there is malice. It isn’t, at least not quite, but Canak’s collapse, combined with Zibenas’ flop and forehead vein-pulsing interference from the fans, remains the greatest basketball blow-up of the year. Best of all, Canak refused to apologize or admit any guilt. After the game, he merely doubled down, saying in Lithuanian, “I’m walkin’ heeyah!”
However, Canak was thrown out of the game with his team behind Rytas 51-25. He ultimately accepted his destiny and walked off the floor after yelling at referees and apparently everyone else in the arena. But on his approach, he shoved Rytas head coach Giedrius Zibenas into the ground, sending the opposition coach flying.
He then motioned as though he intended to attack Zibenas. Canak then engaged in a ranting match with Rytas’ owner on his way out of the building, motioning for another fight.
The footage of the event is astounding since it appears like everyone in the building, other than Canak’s squad, was against him.
After being dismissed from the Betsafe LKL final series on Wednesday. Lietkabelis head coach Nenad Canak went completely insane and attempted to assault everyone in the room.
