Naby Keita finally managed to deliver for Liverpool with a sparking goal vs Crystal Palace to round up a pulsating win
For way too long, Naby Keita has failed to live up to the hype he brought with him when Liverpool loosened the strings of their purse to avail in his services. Fraught with injuries and failing to impress when accorded an opportunity, Keita has struggled to win Liverpool supporters over the years.

However, he managed to finally cover himself in glory with his sterling effort against Crystal Palace on Saturday. As Liverpool’s corner was parried away by Vincent Guaita, the ball ended up landing at Keita’s feet with him connecting cleaning with the ball.
As Keita wrapped his laces around the ball, the left footed rocket shot past a helpless Crystal Palace goalkeeper to see Liverpool extend their lead to 3-0 on the day. The goal completed a clinical performance for Liverpool with the club going top of the Premier League table courtesy of the outstanding showing.

Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane had previously scored for Liverpool on the day with Mane raking up his 100th strike for Liverpool. The club managed to ease past Crystal Palace at Anfield without the services of the fullback pairing of Andrew Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Crystal Palace meanwhile left hard done by a dubious referee call with Christian Benteke failing to being awarded a penalty despite being tripped by Konstantinos Tsimikas. The defender was otherwise mostly flawless for the club as he once again showed that he’s more than capable of fitting into the club’s modus operandi.
