India’s complete stronghold over Pakistan in the world cup finally came to an end. When the side took on Pakistan on Sunday in its T20 World Cup 2021 opener, the Indian endured a trouncing with the side downed by 10 wickets.
It was toothless performance by Team India, one devoid of any kind of fight and character. Be it the batting or bowling department, the side fell apart like a house of cards, posting a measly 152 run target before completely switching off as a bowling unit.

In the aftermath of the encounter, the Indian and Pakistani players were seen mingling around as they interacted with each other. Shoaib Malik, Pakistan captain Babar Azam and all-rounder Imad Wasim were amongst the player seen having a chat with MS Dhoni who is with the Indian side as mentor for the world cup.

Dhoni was also seen clicking selfies with the Pakistani players with images of the events going viral on social media platforms. Indian captain Virat Kohli was also seen in talks with Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan who put on an unbeaten 152 run stand to hand India a defeat.
Pakistan’s win against India came after a run of 12 successive defeats against the country. Virat Kohli was the only Indian player who put on a fight after the side lost its top order in no time with the Indian captain scoring 57 in 49 balls.
Virat Kohli added this defeat as a captain to Pakistan to his Champions Trophy defeat to the same opponents.
