Deranged Morocco fans were seen hitting the streets of France to riot in the country and clash with police
In the aftermath of the match between Morocco and Portugal, thousands of fans flooded the iconic Parisian avenue, chanting, waving flags, and honking horns despite the presence of a huge police presence.
The same was on show after France defeated Morocco in the semi-final of the FIFA World Cup, with scores of Morocco fans taking to the streets of France to riot, burn and lock heads with police.

People were seen on Reuters TV breaking windows and fighting with cops. There were additional fires on avenue de Friedland, not far from the Champs Elysees.
After Morocco’s 2-0 loss to France in Wednesday’s FIFA World Cup semi-final. There was a brief conflict between police and about a hundred soccer supporters, some of whom were draped in Moroccan flags, who threw fireworks and other objects and set fire to rubbish bags and cardboard boxes.
To counter the protesters, police used tear gas and water cannons. Several spectators were held by police, who said that the fights had been brief and contained little property damage.
However, a young man from the Moroccan support group was killed when he was hit by a car in the streets of Montpellier. While walking down Rue de la Mosson, the throng reportedly saw a white hatchback with a French flag flying out the window.
The adolescent was critically injured when the driver abruptly made a U-turn into the oncoming lane in an attempt to escape. The report indicated that he was pronounced dead by hospital staff later that day. Reporters for Reuters witnessed the police detain many fans, although they noted that the skirmishes were brief and did not result in any major damage.
Morocco Fans Fight Using Fires And Flares
French and Moroccan football fans battled in cities across France and Belgium after the World Cup semi-finals, as the riot police struggled to keep the peace. It has been reported that fans in the French cities of Montpellier and Nice have engaged in street fighting, with flares being thrown and trash cans being set on fire.
As the first Arab team and the first African side to advance to the semifinals of the first World Cup to be staged in an Arab country, Morocco garnered fans from all over the world. When France advanced to their second straight World Cup final, they were the first team to do it since Brazil in 2002.
