At Lilac Hill Park on Sunday, the 30th game of the Women’s Big Bash League 2022 featured Melbourne Stars facing Adelaide Strikers. After winning the toss, Adelaide Strikers decided to bowl first and invited Melbourne Stars to bat.
Melbourne Stars Sasha Moloney Throws Ball On Her Own Head During Celebration, Video Goes Viral
Melbourne Stars managed to reach 112/8 in 20 overs while batting first. The two Stars who scored the most runs were Annabel Sutherland and Kim Garth, who scored 47 off 31 and 24 off 32 balls, respectively. The Adelaide Strikers eventually won the match after reaching 112 runs target in 19.1 overs thanks to Madeline’s unbeaten innings of 56 runs off 50 balls. Despite the Melbourne Stars’ defeat, Moloney put up an outstanding fielding performance and made four catches. However, Moloney’s caught and bowled was the game’s greatest story after her funny celebration went viral.

In the second over of the Adelaide Strikers’ inning during their match against Melbourne Stars, Moloney was in her bowling action and sent K.Mack, the opening batsman for the Strikers back to the Pavillion by caught and bowled dismissal. This was the moment in the game that made the most attention when Moloney, who was celebrating K. Mack’s wicket, tossed the ball into the air in joy and it eventually fell on her own head. Since then, the video of her celebration has gone viral on social media.
