The handful of Manchester City fans who had turned up at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium went beserk as they fought with the stewards
Travelling to a Tottenham side devoid of the services of its focal point in attack and a team which was playing its first match under new tutelage, Manchester City were widely envisaged to saunter their way to a comfortable win.
However, for the defending champions, the showdown was anything but a straightforward affair. The side was made a mockery of by the home with a resillient and girtty Tottenham outfit handing out a shcooling to City.
From being in a position of jeopardy, Tottenham ended up rejoicing at the end of the 90 minutes as a Heung-Min Son goal defeated City 1-0. Not only was the win special owing to the circumstances it came in for the hosts but also due to the fact that it came bereft of the services of Harry Kane.

Irked after the loss, City supporters were haywire ensuing the result. Untying Tottenham’s LGBTQ flag at the stadium, the visiting side’s supporters ended up engaging in a bust-up with the stewards present in the stadium.
While the scenes were extremely unsavory, its good to finally see a bunch of City supporters who harbor any kind of passion in them. Usually a library, the club has despite its consummate success over the years failed to build up a proper fan base with the side ending up with a string of empty seats at its home stadium.
