How Did Magnus Carlsen Resign From The Match?
The world champion quit the game as soon as he made his first move with the black pieces. Niemann, who had already made two moves with the white pieces, did the same soon after.
” Magnus Carlsen just resigned. Tania Sachdev, a chess grandmaster and commentator for Chess24, said, “She got up and left.” “He turned off his camera, and that’s all we know right now. We’ll try to find out what’s going on. ”
Why Was Magnus Carlsen Shocked Earlier?
Magnus Carlsen was shocked when 19-year-old Niemann beat him at the $500,000 event in St. Louis, but Carlsen then quit the tournament in a big way. He told people about his decision in a tweet that included a video of football coach José Mourinho saying, “If I talk, I’ll get into a lot of trouble.”
The Norwegian hasn’t said anything else, but Hikaru Nakamura, the best blitz player in the world, said that Carlsen pulled out because he thought Niemann “probably cheated.” Nakamura also said that Chess.com, the most popular chess website in the world, had banned the Americans in the past.

Did Neimann Cheat In A Chess Tournament?
Niemann has strongly denied that he cheated at the Sinquefield Cup, but he did admit that he had cheated at chess before, first as a 12-year-old in an online tournament and then as a 16-year-old while streaming unrated games.
Niemann said, “I have never cheated in an over-the-board game.” He added that he was now “clean”. And was even willing to play naked in “a closed box with no electronic transmission” to prove his innocence.
Even though both players went back to their next matches on Monday. Magnus Carlsen’s sudden move has already sent shockwaves through the chess world.

This has never happened before. I just can’t believe it, “Sachdev said. “Did I just see that?”
“Magnus just doesn’t want to play with Hans. He is saying, “I will play in the tournament, but I won’t play against him.” That’s making a very big statement. ”
