While Ashneer took what he claimed was a voluntary leave as the company unearthed the allegations against him, his wife Madhuri who was the COO at BharatPe since 2018 was being investigated as well. And she was finally fired on Wednesday with the fintech company Co-Founder and Managing Director’s having said to have partaken in financial irregularities.
She is said to have used mammoth amount of company funds for her own personal beauty treatments, buying electronic items and family trips to the US and Dubai, along with paying her personal team out of company accounts and producing fake invoices from known parties. As she was wielded the axe over after the skeletons came tumbling out of the closet, Madhuri decided to take a leaf out of Ashneer’s book with her taking to Twitter to share manifold videos of parties at BharatPe with her claiming women were objectified at the company’s drunken orgies.
