Gary Hahn, an NCAA college football broadcaster, will be suspended indefinitely after making a statement about immigrants being illegal aliens
Gray Hahn, a college football and basketball announcer for North Carolina State has been one of the best with a successful career. However, there are times when employing metaphoric descriptions is inappropriate for some situations and can harm particular people and groups. Hahn must now face the price for doing just that.
Gary Hahn referred to immigrants as “illegal aliens.”
Gary Hahn has been suspended indefinitely as a result of the insulting remark he made on Friday. During the Duke’s Mayo Bowl, Hahn referred to immigrants who were stranded in El Paso as “illegal aliens.” Hahn said, “In the Sun Bowl and among all the illegal aliens down in El Paso, it’s UCLA 14 and Pittsburgh six,” about the score. There are still 11:15 remaining in the second quarter.

How did fans respond?
Fans were divided into two sides of the same coin, like in any conversation, and decided to either support Hahn or oppose him.
I don’t believe you because El Paso and the southern border are being swamped by illegal aliens, a supporter of Hahn responded to Rick’s remark. “This rightness BS needs to end. Sue them,” said another supporter. Another supporter of Hahn remarked, “This is nonsense, he is one of my all-time Wolfpack favourites.”
As one fan put it, “If Gary Hahn doesn’t get “un-suspended” I’ll never listen to wolfpack radio again.” Hahn certainly has a lot of supporters. “He didn’t state anything that wasn’t accurate, thus this treatment is unfair. He has long been an NC State supporter! And this is the way he is handled?” said anothe.
What should Hahn be punished for in your opinion, or was his statement racist, making his penalty just?
