Liverpool fans mocked Everton after clobbering them 4-1 by signing the “Rafa’s at the wheel” chant at Goodison Park
Over the years, the Liverpool vs Everton rivalry has taken shape as one of the fiercest and most feisty battles in the land of the Premier League. And the last couple of seasons have been no different with both sides leaving no stone unturned to down each other.
While the matchup has taken shape as an extremely lopsided showdown with Liverpool according Everton no breathing space, Everton have not been dissuaded from leaving everything on the pitch when they take on their rivals. Everton have been extremely aggressive in their encounters against Liverpool with Jordan Pickford going onto injure Virgil van Dijk for a year.
Rafa’s At The Wheel Chants Ring Across Goodison Park During Everton vs Liverpool
When Liverpool took on Everton earlier this week, that tackle was fresh on the fans of Liverpool supporters. And as their club made a mockery of Everton, wiping the floor with them, Liverpool supporters ensured they left no stone unturned to belittle their much hated opponents.
The visiting supporters belted out chants for Rafa Benitez across the course of the tie along with singing “Rafa’s at the wheel” as Liverpool eased their way to a 4-1 win. The Ole Gunnar Solskjaer inspired chant was a jibe at Everton’s current turmoil with ex-Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez at the helm.

While the Everton fans have themselves voiced their displeasure over Benitez’s handling of the club, the Spaniard is all set to stay at his role with the club’s owners set to back him come the January transfer window.
The home fans themselves booed and jeered their team along with belting chants of “sack the board” after losing to Everton.
