French police used pepper spray on Liverpool fans before of the Champions League final versus Real Madrid in Paris.
Kickoff at the Stade de France was delayed by 15 minutes at first, then for another 15 as lengthy queues of supporters waited to enter the stadium.
Images uploaded on social media showed police deploying pepper spray on spectators, despite the fact that many of them had tickets and were also behind metal bars.

“Just taken my place back in the press box after witnessing hundreds of Liverpool fans being handled appallingly outside the Stade de France,” Jason Burt of The Telegraph tweeted.
“I was sprayed with pepper spray. “My eyes and lips are still hurting.”
“Let this be said now with full clarity: there is no guilt to be placed on supporters here, none whatever,” Daily Mail journalist Dominic King said.
“French police have used pepper spray for no reason – I know this because I seen the affects on certain colleagues.” It’s a travesty how these folks are being handled.”

During the pandemonium preceding the Champions League final, a distressing video of a youngster allegedly getting pepper sprayed by French police has appeared online.
The match between Liverpool and Real Madrid was postponed by 36 minutes owing to security concerns outside the Stade de France. Fans without tickets flooded the stadium, running past stewards to get in.
French police used pepper spray in response, with footage appearing to show a kid being affected. The video shows a toddler in tears as a result of French police practises.

He stated: “The organisation in and around the stadium is deplorable for a CL final! It is unsafe to use tear gas in locations where children and uninvolved supporters are present!”
Liverpool fans who had purchased tickets told Sky Sports about the scenario, calling UEFA’s organisation “shambolic.”
