The Court of 3 Judges ruled in a written verdict that Seow’s actions indicated a character fault that rendered him ineligible to practise law.  The court further stated that his actions had brought the profession into contempt.

The court, which is the legal profession’s top disciplinary authority, said Seow’s behaviour was outrageous and “evinced such volatility and lack of self-control that it detracts from his ability to discharge his professional functions”.

Seow, 49, acknowledged 8 acts of inappropriate conduct with 3 female workers at his South Bridge Road office between March 16, 2018, and April 17, 2018, before a disciplinary tribunal in 2019.

His Viral Video Explained

On April 17, 2018, footage of the incident at Seow’s former law office on South Bridge Road became viral after it was released online.

Seow’s assault on the ladies first came to light in 2018, after a 30-minute audio clip of him fighting with his niece went viral. A year later, two films of violent acts were published on the web.

Seow was caught on camera verbally assaulting Rachel Kang Pei Shan, an artiste and Beam Artistes events executive. Seow jammed his finger into Kang’s head and shoved the files she was holding. Due to this, Kang fell.

Following that, he began questioning his niece, Brenda Kong Shin Ying, who was also working for him at some moment, about other employees’ activities. Later, he was captured on tape hitting Kong and punching a female employee who tried to pull him away. Finally, he was restrained by a male employee.
