Watch large brawl breaks out out during Norwalk vs Mayfair California High School baseball game, fight video goes viral

At a high school baseball game in California what led to a significant brawl breaking out is being looked into by the police with the fight video during Norwalk vs Mayfair viral

The earlier this week altercation between two California high school baseball teams turned into such a major fight on the field that police are now looking into it, according to TMZ Sports.

The altercation broke out after Norwalk High School defeated Mayfair High School, 3-2, on Wednesday in Lakewood, a suburb of Los Angeles approximately 25 miles to the south. A Norwalk Lancers player carried a broom to the postgame handshake queue to commemorate the moment because the win meant the team would sweep Mayfair and proceed in the playoffs.

Fans in the crowd, however, were not amused by the taunt, and you can hear one yell, “Put your broom in the dugout!” in a video of the incident. “Respect the game!” The Mayfair players obviously didn’t appreciate it either since a full-fledged altercation between the two teams broke out shortly after.

At one point, parents even got involved, with some calling the on-field athletes foul names. A separate view of the altercation reveals that multiple players exchanged punches during the skirmish.

Official statement

On Friday, the Lakewood Sheriff’s Department informed the media that authorities did in fact arrive at the scene and that an investigation was now ongoing.

Officials from the two schools and the California Interscholastic Federation stated that they are currently gathering information about the tragic situation and that a sanction may be handed down at a later time. “When the investigation is finished, an update will be made public,” according to officials.

ESPN baseball reporter Marly Rivera was let go following an incident on the pitch.

Ivon Gaete, a freelance TV reporter, was at Yankee Stadium last week waiting for Aaron Judge, a star for the New York Yankees, to finish signing autographs for some young fans when Marly Rivera, a baseball reporter for ESPN, started screaming at her in Spanish.

Gaete inquired about Rivera’s well-being. Rivera said mockingly, “Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t know you speak English now.” Then, in front of Judge and the kids, Rivera yelled, “What an f—ing c—.” It would result in Rivera’s employment with ESPN ending. Wednesday, an ESPN official confirmed that Rivera is no longer employed by the organisation.
