An overzealous Julius Randle had to pay for jumping the gun after his side’s double overtime win as he was fined $15,000
The Boston Celtics and New York Knicks game was a cracker of a contest.
The clash which went all the way into double overtime saw the Knick prevail at the end as they got past the finishing line at the end of the jaffer. The 138-134 triumph for the team on the day saw Julius Randle act as an integral figure for his side with him almost ending up with a triple-double to his name.
Julius Randle Fined $15,000 For Throwing Ball Into The Stands
He finished with a staggering 35 points, eight rebounds and nine assists, a performance which was rightful of him going beserk as his side sealed the win. As the buzzer sounded and Knicks managed to accrue the win, Randle ended up throwing the ball into the stands, an action which has ended up costing the player.

The NBA announced that Randle had been fined a solid $15,000 for his celebration. Randle, after grabbing the final rebound of the game in the tailend, threw the ball down the court and into the stands behind the basket at Madison Square Garden, something which clearly didn’t go down well with the NBA.
“I can’t wait to go home and lay in the bed, I swear,” he said. “I don’t even know if I’m hungry enough to eat, I’m so tired,” Randle said after his team’s game winning performance.
The Knicks held a three point lead going into the encounter into the final second of regulation time before Marcus Smart went onto score a 3 pointer from the wing to send the contest into overtime.
