Kamil Glik was caught pinching England’s Kyle Walker in the throat, an incident for which the Three Lions have now reported him
The showdown between Poland and England on Wednesday night was far from just a world cup qualifier. As the English side took the knee in support of the BLM movement, boos rang around the stadium with the Polish supporters irked at the gesture continuing for so long.
While the extended decision to keep taking the knee has irked supporters across the global stage. the jeers from the Polish supporters alluded towards what England had in store on the night. In what was an extremely hostile environment for them, the visitors were consistently jeered by the home side’s supporters who left no stone unturned to berate the England side.
Spurred on by the backing of his home support, Poland’s Kamil Glik was in a raucous mood on the night. The defender was on a string of occasions captured going all in into England’s players with him unsparing in his tackles and blocks.

Harry Maguire was left seething with Glik’s actions across the first half with him seen ripping into the Polish player has a bust-up erupted at the end of the first half. Video has emerged of the incident, one which shows Glik pinching Kyle Walker’s throat only before the fracas took place.

England have now gone onto report Glik for putting hands on Walker to FIFA with the governing council set to determine the further course of action. Meanwhile, Glik has himself gone onto distance himself from the claims with him talking about how it was nothing but a minor squabble.
“There was a fight for position, a scuffle. I tried to shake Walker’s hand, but he wouldn’t take it. It was a verbal scuffle nothing else happened,” Glik said when asked about what had transpired.
