During a game of charades, Jonas Valanciunas, a former Toronto Raptors fan favourite, comically channels LeBron James with the video viral

You should expect a lot of criticism along the way if you are one of the greatest players to ever step foot on an NBA court.

Jonas Valanciunas, a centre for the New Orleans Pelicans, was playing a game of charades during a recent media appearance for Nesiaukite Live in his native Lithuania when he chose to make fun of the Los Angeles Lakers superstar.

Valanciunas began wiping his eyes as though he were crying and acting like a basketball had struck him in the head. The host of the programme quickly identified who it was.

Given that he averaged 17.8 points and 11.4 rebounds per game this past season, Valanciunas is somewhat underestimated.

Next season marks the start of his contract renewal. He considers the late-season atmosphere at the Smoothie King Center to be among the best he’s ever encountered in the NBA and is eager to watch the Pelicans build upon their incredible turnaround.

It was wonderful, he remarked. Probably one of the loudest venues I’ve ever performed in. I’m glad to see supporters enter, cheering for us loudly. I don’t want to let them down. We’ll require them next year.

LeBron might end up paying for making fun of The King when he visits the area.

Although LeBron James may have ruled Toronto for the majority of the 2010s, the Toronto Raptors have now received the final laugh at James’ expense. Not only have the Toronto Raptors defeated James and the Los Angeles Lakers five out of their previous six times, but former Raptors centre Jonas Valanis was also caught making fun of the self-styled “king” during a recently aired game of charades.

In his best James impersonation, Valaninas mocked the four-time NBA MVP on the programme as a whiner and a loser.

The 30-year-old played seven seasons with Toronto, when his Raptors were defeated in three straight playoff series by James and the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2016 to 2018. He started the 2018–19 season in Toronto before being exchanged for Marc Gasol, Delon Wright, and CJ Miles by the Memphis Grizzlies at the trade deadline.

But Valaninos is just 5-6 against James and the Lakers since leaving Toronto.
