Jake Paul Tries Out His Hand At Baseball
Jake Paul is a celebrity YouTuber based in the US, known to create all kinds of content. In recent years, Paul has gained more fame by winning a series of boxing matches against other celebrities.
The 25-year-old recently travelled to Miami, where he attended a baseball game between the Miami Merlins and the San Diego Padres. During the match, some of the officials invited the YouTuber on to the pitch where faced some pitches.
Paul agreed and quickly found himself in a tough spot. As the first pitch came flying in, he made a wild swing but missed, letting out a scream of frustration in the process. The same thing happened with the second pitch, as Paul couldn’t cope with the pace of the ball.
Following the two misses, Paul pitched one last shot but failed again after having yet another swing and a miss.
Jake Paul Jokingly Claims The Video Footage Was Edited
Later, the pitches emerged on social media and fans started mocking his ability. Paul claimed in a Twitter video that the footage was edited:
Alright so the video of me missing all of the swings is edited guys, I hit a home run but the cameras weren’t rolling for that.
I hit it a couple of times, I’m better than that, what do you mean?
A Long Line Of Fighting Stars
So far, besides Jake Paul, a long line of fighting stars have tried their hand in baseball in recent months. Conor McGregor also had an equally tough day like Paul. The Irishman competed with rapper 50 Cent by delivering arguably the worst pitch of all time.
Instead of throwing the ball at the batsman, it went off far left, leaving the batsman awkwardly standing there after a poor first pitch.
UFC star Sean O’Malley did not disappoint, however. At the Arizona Diamondbacks game, O’Malley threw a pitch of his own, with a much stronger and more accurate throw, drawing excitement from the crowd.
