The video was recorded at some point on Friday evening during the Grizzlies’ 113-97 loss to the Nuggets in Denver. Morant finished that game with 27 points and 10 assists in 33 minutes.
The location of the video’s filming is unknown. Sunday night’s game between the Grizzlies and Clippers will be played in Los Angeles. But they won’t be taking their top point guard with them.
On Saturday, the team announced that Morant would miss at least two games.

Memphis’ upcoming games, on Monday against the Clippers and on Tuesday against the Lakers, will both take place in Los Angeles.
The Warriors will then visit them on Thursday night, after which they will return home. It’s not sure if Morant would be joining them at that point.
Before the Instagram Live video was published, Morant was already the subject of controversy.
According to a Washington Post report published on Wednesday, Morant repeatedly hit a teenage kid in the head during a friendly game of basketball at his house and threatened the youngster with a gun.
He was also accused in the report of threatening the mall’s security director in Memphis.
However, Jim Tanner, the agent for Morant, denied the allegations in a statement. He argued that his client was acting in self-defence.

Morant was reportedly involved in an incident in late January where Pacers players allegedly had a red laser pointed at them by a car being driven by Morant and others. The accusers said that they experienced “grave danger” the entire time.
Later, according to Morant, one of his buddies was barred from Memphis’ home games for at least a year as a result of the incident.
