The Houston Astros won the World Series 6-2 after beating the Philadelphia Phillies 4-1 in Game 6 at Minute Maid Park on Saturday night. This was the team’s second championship and their first World Series win since 2017.

Pena had the best batting average, on-base percentage, and on-base plus slugging percentage (OPS) in the World Series. He hit.400/.423/1.023 and had one home run and three RBI. Also he was the youngest position player to win the award and the first shortstop to win ALCS MVP and World Series MVP in the same postseason.

The Big Parade Is A Tradition For Houston Astros

After beating the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2022 World Series, the Houston Astros are having a party. Monday, as is tradition, a big parade took place in Houston, Texas, so fans could celebrate.

The parade was to start on Smith Street in the middle of Houston and go 1.7 miles south. Helicopters took pictures of the streets of Houston filled with orange and blue. About 28% of the city’s population, or about 2 million people, are thought to have come out to watch their team celebrate.

Several famous people from the area came to the Houston Astros. Houston rappers Scarface and Slim Thing were seen on a float. With mattress salesman James Franklin McIngvale, also known as “Mattress Mack,” who became famous for making a lot of money when the Astros won.

Before the players even showed up, the streets of Houston were full of people for Houston Astros. Singing “We Want Houston!” When they finally got to their float, they were met with a lot of warmth. Trey Mancini, an Astros utility player, said that some of the women in the crowd were only interested in one man. Mancini said that all the attention was being paid to Jeremy Pena.

In the end, it wasn’t a good day for Texas Senator Ted Cruz. Whose conservative policies aren’t exactly popular in Houston. He drove up in a car that looked like a Jeep with his wife and daughters. It didn’t take long before someone threw a can of “White Claw” hard seltzer at the Senator. He was able to hit the can away, and a man is in jail for doing the same thing.

In 2023 Houston Astros May Be Back

Framber Valdez and Justin Verlander are both great pitchers, so the Houston Astros are almost impossible to beat. Also, Jose Altuve, Alex Bregman, and Yordan Alvarez. Who was a finalist for MVP, make it very hard for other teams to defend against them.

So, it’s possible that we’ll see the team at a Houston Astros  parade again next year.
