Video footage has emerged of a conversation between armed forces personnel of the Indian and Chinese armies along the Line Of Actual Control on social media platforms. The video shows a Chinese army officer itching to know the name of his Indian counterpart with the Indian officer’s hilarious reply needing little time to go viral.
Upon being persistently asked to tell his name, the Indian army officer goes onto identity himself as Major Keen Kumar with the Chinese officer subsequently going onto identify himself as Sum Sum Dong.
According to defence experts, the use of ‘Keen Kumar’ is a traditional practice with it used to guise the original identity of the officers and soldiers who go on patrolling. While the senior officials are often unable to hide their real identity, the junior officers are given monikers to stave from revealing their true identity.
