Jesse Lingard was incessantly belittled by the Manchester United fans whilst warming up on the sidelines 

All hell broke lose in Old Trafford on Sunday night. As Liverpool wiped the floor with Manchester United, the home side’s fans were left irked and livid as they lashed out at their side for the manner in which the club failed to show the stomach for a fight.

Completely failing to punch above their weight, Manchester United ended up being decimated 5-0. The club was taken for a walk by an utterly dominant and relentless Liverpool attack, one which ripped Manchester United’s defensive setup into shreds.

Jesse Lingard Hit Out At By Manchester United Fans

Fuming Manchester United fans were seen lashing out at the club’s players on a string of occasions. From booing the players at half-time to walking out of the stadium halfway through the contest, Old Trafford became a hotbed of emotions with fans fuming at the set of events which were taking place.

Jesse Lingard wasn’t able to keep at bay the irked emotions of his side’s irate supporters with him receiving the full brunt of their fury as well. As Lingard warmed up on the sidelines, the home team’s fans unleashed into him, smearing him with Lingard responding with “I’m not on the pitch.”

Lingard has failed to get any meaningful minutes on the pitch this term after having previously spent last season on loan.

For Manchester United, things are extremely precarious at the moment with the side finding itself in a soup. The 5-0 clobbering at the hands of Liverpool was perhaps the worst moment of the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer era, one which could end up relieving the manager of his duties.
