I’m not sure whether that’s a possibility, but you never know. Warriors supporters should be pleased with the game’s outcome and leave Barkley alone.
Charles Barkley Simply tells Annoying Warriors Fans That He Will Have Relationships With Their Mothers
The Splash Brothers went on a roll that proved too much for Dallas to halt after Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson calmed down, gathered their breath, and stopped rushing shots.
Especially after Andrew Wiggins tried tirelessly to prevent Luka Doncic from getting going.
Curry scored 21 points and a game-high 12 rebounds as the Warriors defeated the Mavericks 112-87 on Wednesday night to take a 1-0 lead in the Western Conference finals.
“The essential thing was to get him to work,” Wiggins explained.
Doncic scored 20 points but shot 6 for 18 and 3 for 10 from long range. He hit back-to-back 3-pointers late in the first half to get his team within 54-45 at the intermission, but Curry and Thompson came alive in the second half and helped the Warriors pull away.
“Excellent work. “That’s all,” Doncic concluded. “They performed an excellent job.”
“Wiggs was amazing,” said coach Steve Kerr. “Doncic is the most difficult cover in this league.” It’s critical to put him to work. He’s fantastic. You strive to minimize the harm done by any outstanding player in the league.”
Curry, who led the league in scoring last season, missed his first five 3-point attempts before converting with 50 seconds remaining in the first half. He did, though, contribute in other ways, dishing out four assists and collecting seven rebounds.
Then he sank two fast three-pointers to spark a 10-2 run to start the third quarter for a Golden State team that defeated Memphis in a six-game semifinal series.
“It’s how we play,” Curry explained. “It’s a wonderful way to play when you have the capacity to generate separation as we did in the third quarter.”
