Video footage of Ibrahima Konate chocking on confetti during the Carabao Cup final celebrations has gone viral
With the Carabao Cup and FA Cup having eluded Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp’s tutelage, the side stepped out at Wembley on Sunday night looking to make amends when it took on Chelsea in the summit clash.

And in what was enthralling 0-0 draw as both sides missed a string of chances to win the marquee trophy during the 120 minutes, the match moved to penalties. And Chelsea decided to bring on Kepa in place of Edouard Mendy owing to his Club World Cup heroics, a move which faltered this time around.
Not only did the Chelsea shotstopper fail to save any of the 11 Liverpool penalties but he also ended up skying his to see Liverpool lift the trophy. And joyous celebrations ensued afterwards as the club lifted the trophy in the concourses of the Wembley.
In the midst of the upbeat Liverpool squad lifting the trophy, a video went viral, one where Ibrahima Konate was seen choking on confetti. The video footage showed the club’s CB struggling to get the piece of confetti which had made its way into his mouth, a video which has been viewed over 1 million times on Twitter.
Andrew Robertson was able to see the funny side of things as Konate frantically tried to get the gold piece out of his mouth before carrying on with his jubilations with Liverpool still in the hunt for the quadruple.
