The video featured a lady—later identified as Lexi Morgan Powell—who was seen talking to Ramirez and her young son in Spanish and then reportedly made racial statements. The other woman in the wheelchair was also there.

As per Ramirez’s narrative, Powell became enraged upon learning that Ramirez’s child was using a bigger restroom stall. Powell made matters worse when she declared, “I hate Mexicans,” and defended her position by claiming that speaking Spanish in America was improper, even when Ramirez challenged her about her alleged racist remarks.
In an effort to accommodate families, Ramirez emphasized that the larger toilets were reserved for women with small children, regardless of disability placards.
Social media users aggressively identified Lexi Morgan Powell and called for consequences when the video went viral, which resulted in Powell’s social media accounts being deleted. There were demonstrations outside Powell’s house, according to reports, and one person was detained during them.
