A torrid collision took place at the Cicloturista Condaco Salmor Bike event as a fan oblivious to the set of events unravelling around her knackered into a cyclist who was on the verge of getting past the finishing line on the day.
The event which took place in the Canary Islands saw the cyclist in question on the anvil of completing the 55 mile route. However, it was then that tragedy struck as a woman decided she wanted to cross the road right then with her presence in the middle of the track leading the cyclist to barge into her.

While there is no information on if criminal charges have been pressed against the woman for her complete lack of her surroundings, her actions have caused the cyclist to suffer memory loss.

The Spanish Civil Guard has taken over the case with investigations ongoing to determine the next course of action. The cyclist has not only suffered massive health damage but was also on course to win the race before the clown of a woman ended up rendering his life obsolete.
This isn’t the first time when the actions of a spectator have ended up causing bodily damage during cycling races. It is high time the sport comes up with safeguards to ensure the health and safety of the racers involved is flawless.
