Earlier, in an interview, Himanshu Mishra opened up about the tragic incident that happened with him and as a result he grew apart from his family.

In his now-viral interview, Himanshu Mishra explained how these apps entice users with promises of easy money, often suggesting that betting on teams can yield huge financial gains.

However, the reality is far from grim, as many people fall into the trap of addiction and that results in severe financial ruin as happened with Mishra.

What Did Himanshu Mishra Say?

In his viral interview, Mishra revealed the full extent of his struggles and how his gaming addiction led him to part with his family.

While speaking with anchor Prateek Trivedi on live TV in his News18 show, Mishra revealed that his mother, who is a teacher by profession, now “doesn’t even want to speak to me,” while adding that his “entire family has distanced themselves,” from him.

Furthermore, he revealed that his relationship with his loved ones had completely deteriorated. He went as far as to claim that even if something happened to him on the street, his family wouldn’t even come to check up on him.

Speaking about his addiction, Himanshu Mishra confessed to borrowing money to engage in the game. In his statement, Mishra can be heard saying, “Once you’re addicted, you’ll do anything to feed it.”

Mishra, who was seen visibly in tears admitted that he once qualified for the JEE main exam but lost the money intended for his B.Tech tuition fees in online gambling.

In addition, Mishra recounts that despite he has a good relationship with his brother, the two are no longer in contact and that he desperately wants to reconnect with his niece, however, his addiction has destroyed everything for him.

In his now-viral video that is circulating online, Himanshu can be seen mentioning an incident involving a Police officer from UP, who had called Mishra to play the game, however, he ended up losing the money.

As a result, Mishra was detained at a police station for approximately seven days. The viral-video has generated a serious debate online about the harmful effects of online gambling and gaming apps that have on younger generation, with one user expressing that we are in a direct need to “ban such online games.”
