Many went to Twitter saying, ‘Shame on you Harbhajan for being silent and laughing when Afridi insults your fellow cricketer’. One wrote, “Show me the most ashamed person than Harbhajan Singh.” Vikrant Gupta and former cricketer Harbhajan being Gambhir’s good friends, laughing at Afridi’s nonsense??? This is not right! Said another. Rather than defending his former teammate, Harbhajan Singh laughed at Afridi’s disrespectful comments about Gambhir, which has now surrounded Harbhajan Singh with heavy criticism over the social media.
The relation between Gambhir and Afridi has not been that good in recent years. Both were often seen arguing on Twitter, whether for cricket or political reasons.
However, Gambhir and Afridi never had good relationships even during their days of cricket to say goodbye to the game. Many believed that the duo’s famous showdown on the field during the 2007 ODI game in Kanpur, where curse words were exchanged between the two, is the main reason behind their bitter relationship.
