Roquan Smith, the starting linebacker for the Chicago Bears, has been accused of several serious offenses with a TikTok video of the accusations viral

A lady allegedly recorded a TikTok (social media app) video in which she claimed Roquan Smith sexually abused her while he was a student at Georgia. It appears that both the TikTok and her account have been removed. Roquan Smith, meantime, has canceled his Twitter account and limited comments on his Instagram account.
Roquan Smith is 25 years old, and the girl accusing him is 18 years old. She alleges it happened when she was 15 years old. She would have been a high school freshman, and he would have been 22 years old and a rookie in the NFL.
I don’t believe we need to fully dismiss this girl. If this is true, she deserves help, and Smith’s actions would be heinous. However, if you reverse the script and this is all made up, she would be performing a dreadful performance. Unfortunately, we have witnessed several terrible examples of both circumstances… That being said, we all need to take a wait-and-see stance in this scenario.

Contract discussions between the team and Smith are anticipated to “fire up sometime this summer,” according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, with other Bears players nearing free agency under the notion that the linebacker is “the priority” for new general manager Ryan Poles. We’ll see whether these allegations make it to the point where Smith’s contract negotiations are jeopardized.
At the time of the alleged attack, the girl would have been 15 and Smith would have been 22. She is now 18 years old, and Roquan Smith is 25.
