On Friday, December 23, a gunman shot and killed a 19-year-old at a Nordstrom store in the Mall Of America in Bloomington, Minnesota with the shooting video viral
The shooting was caught on several social media videos. In a video that was posted on Twitter, the exact moment the shot was fired was shown. It was said that the shooting lasted about 30 seconds.

People can be seen hiding in stores and running away in social media videos as a mall announcer tells people to find safety. Some videos show shoppers running for cover when they hear a loud bang. In another security camera video, you can see two groups of young people fighting before one of them pulls out a gun and starts shooting.
According to NBC News, Bloomington Police Chief Booker Hodges said in a formal statement that a bullet hit the clothing of another Mall of America customer and hurt them, in addition to the 19-year-old who died. No one knows who the person who died was.

The original person who took this video said the guys with the white wife beater tank top and the blue Fanny pack was the shooter. Hodges said that the investigation into the shooting is just getting started. He told her, “We’re going to catch you, put you in jail, and give you an orange jumpsuit.” It’s only a question of when it will happen.”
Hodges also said that anyone who helped the suspects in any way while knowing it was wrong could be charged with a crime. “If anyone helps these people, even if it’s just to give them a ride or buy them a Happy Meal, do it.
Putting All Convicts Of Mall Of America Shooting In Jail
He said, “We’re going to put you in jail with them.” Hodges also said to the family of the victim, “This is a tragedy, and I’m really trying to hold back how I feel about it, but we’re going to catch these people, believe that. I really feel sorry for this family. Their last week before Christmas, and now one of their loved ones has to be buried.”
Hodges said that the mall should reopen on December 24, but the Nordstrom store will stay closed until further notice. Hodges said that the mall is always looking at its security procedures, which could include using metal detectors. “I still don’t know what we can do to stop someone who has no respect for human life from pulling out a gun and shooting someone,” he said.

Since it opened in 1992, the Mall Of America has been the biggest in the US. It is a place where people from all over the country and tourists go. It doesn’t let guns in, but there aren’t any metal detectors at the doors.

Some shoppers ran for cover when there was a report of a shooting at the mall in the suburbs of Minneapolis in August, and two people were hurt on New Year’s Eve during what seemed to be a fight. The city of Bloomington and the Mall of America didn’t respond right away to requests for comment.
