Will Smith will be loving the raft of videos which have emanated of unprecedented violence during sporting events. The last week has seen rampant fighting during games with seething athletes unable to digest defeats going bonkers and beating their opponents.
Video Footage Shows Georgia Youth Basketball Players Attacking Ref During Fight
Fresh footage has emerged of new frantic visuals during a youth basketball game in Georgia with players seen mercilessly clobbering the referee. The mayhem which captured on video shows a hoard of players attacking the ref who first tried to defend himself from the senseless attack but was soon overpowered as his attackers grew in numbers.
The unsavoury incident took place on Sunday at the Stronghold Christian Church in Lithonia, GA after a contest on the floor. The ref was attacked persistently as he was punched and kicked right in the face with it still unclear on just how severe the injuries he sustained were.
A spokesperson for the Dekalb Country Police Department has gone onto reveal that the cops were called to respond to the assault with an investigation underway. A representative for the church said in a statement following the game, “It is truly unfortunate about the turn of events that took place during the basketball game held at our facility this weekend.
“We open our doors to serve our community and our goal is to provide an atmosphere conducive for enjoyment, enrichment, etc.”
