Gambhir can be seen leaving the stands in the footage, which appears to have been recorded during a rain delay in the Asia Cup game. The World Cup winner could hear Virat Kohli’s name being chanted by numerous supporters from the opposing stand as he was moving. He takes his right hand out of his pocket and flips the crowd, looking like a displeased Gambhir.
Gambhir may be seen walking under an umbrella with someone near the end of the video as they both continue their journey.
Regarding the game, Nepal did remarkably well against Team India in their first ever meeting with the group. After deciding to bowl first, Nepal’s tenacity was demonstrated to Rohit and company by two openers who played outstandingly against India’s pace attack early on.
Before the first wicket was taken, Nepal managed to score a respectable 65 in 9.4 overs thanks to Kushal Bhurtel (38) and Aasif Sheikh (58). Given that the Men in Blue dropped numerous catches and made numerous fielding errors during the Asia Cup encounter, India’s fielding errors should be heavily blamed for Nepal’s performance.
Nepal completed their inning with a 230 in 48.2 seconds. While Mohammed Siraj led the Indian team with three wickets in 9.2 overs, Sheikh was the team’s top run scorer for the Nepali side.
What happens if the match between India and Nepal is washed out?
Where does India stand in terms of their chances of moving on if their match versus Nepal is also postponed? To determine a winner, the regulations stipulate that each team must play for at least 20 overs.
Given the potential for a delayed start, overs will probably be reduced in proportion to the elapsed time. The scores will be adjusted as the number of overs decreases if the same thing occurs in the second innings.
Both teams will receive one point apiece if the outcome of the game is the same as it was on Saturday. This means that India will advance despite earning a total of two points from the two group-stage washed-out games, eliminating Nepal from contention to make the Super Four.
