However, Pandya came to the public’s attention for different reasons. During the match, the India all-rounder was overheard verbally criticising one of his colleagues. During Sri Lanka’s innings, the incident took place between the 11th and 12th overs.

Hardik appeared to be furious because he did not get what he requested, and he was heard cursing into the stump mic. Someone could hear Pandya yelling at another person, “Paani manga tha last over g***d marwa raha hai udhar.”

Fans appeared to be disturbed by the cricketer’s behaviour, even though it is unclear who Pandya was directing his yelling at. “He serves as the Vice Captain of Team India. One user commented on the video by saying, “Shame on you, @hardikpandya7,” while sharing the video of the occurrence.
How did the match go other than Hardik Pandya’s jibe
Dasun Shanaka, the captain of Sri Lanka, once again won the toss and made the decision to bat first. The batters from Sri Lanka got off to a good start, as they were able to score 51 runs in the first ten overs of the game.
However, after Rohit Sharma sent in the spinners, the Sri Lankan hitters looked like they were in a world of trouble. Kuldeep Yadav, a chinaman bowler, took three wickets, making him the most destructive player of the match.
In his five overs, left-arm conventional bowler Axar Patel caused some damage and claimed one wicket while allowing 16 runs to score off of him. Patel was also responsible for as many as four catches. While this was going on, Mohammed Siraj collected three wickets as India bowled Sri Lanka out for 215.
