Official statement
Dr. Angel Charte, the MotoGP Medical Director, gave an update on his health. According to him, Pecco suffered serious polytrauma after being run over by a motorcycle in the femoral and tibial regions. The medical team have found tiny damage in that location using X-rays, however, they are unsure of its age.
Moreover, they sent him to the general hospital since they needed to perform an urgent CAT scan. At all times, he had been normal at the cranial, thoracic, and abdominal levels. He seemed alert and well-focused. It was challenging to confirm that there was no fracture because the image they had seen was from conventional radiography. It was essential to perform a CAT scan.
