The bearded man was among hundreds of fans in Times Square celebrating Jude Bellingham’s sensational overhead kick that sent England’s last-16 clash with Slovakia into extra time.

What Did the Viral Video Show?

As the ecstatic crowd danced and sang Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline,” the fan, dressed in black, looked down and stuck his tongue out. He held up a snuff spoon with what appeared to be white powder, pressed the side of his nose with his finger, and snorted the substance. While viewers have claimed the powder to be coke, nothing has been officially confirmed yet.

The Three Lions supporter seemed to hold something else in his other hand, which he dug his spoon into before offering it to a nearby fan amid the jubilant scenes.

He then put the spoon into his mouth, laughed, and clapped his hands while joining in with the England supporters’ anthem.

The footage, broadcast on Sky Sports News, showed live scenes from fan zones across the UK as former England manager Sam Allardyce discussed Bellingham’s dramatic equaliser.
