Watch fielder pulls out bicycle kick to take a stunning boundary line catch, video goes viral on Twitter

Michael Vaughan and Sachin Tendulkar are left speechless by the catch, whereas Jimmy Neesham also responded to the amazing catch at the boundary by the fielder who brought out his football skills as well with the bicycle kick in the viral video on Twitter

As the fielders increasingly stretch the ICC rules, particularly in T20 cricket, the fielding at the boundary line is becoming more creative. One occasionally sees batsmen in international cricket pull off some completely unbelievable catches at the boundary lines.

Similar footage, captured by Michael Neser during the latest match between the Brisbane Heat and Sydney Sixers in BBL 12, was recently seen. As he reached the goal line, Neser grabbed the ball and threw it into the air. Then, beyond the playing area, he leaped into the air and threw the ball back over the rope before grabbing the catch.

However, a new video of an incredible grab that even the game’s legends were left surprised by has recently gone viral on social media.

Fielder pulls out bicycle kick to take a stunning boundary line catch, video goes viral on Twitter

In the viral video, a local tennis ball cricket match is shown happening. In the footage, the batsman appears to hit a shot for a six as it appears to soar past the boundary as it approaches the boundary. The fielder, though, perfectly timed his jump and grabbed the ball with both of his hands. He crossed the line as a result of the momentum from doing so. But he threw the ball into the air before stepping outside the line of the boundary.

The fielder then displayed outstanding football prowess by leaping into the air and bicycle-kicking the ball back into the play, where another fielder finished the catch. The frustration from the batter side after given out must have been immense since a magnificent effort converted a sure-fire six to a catch out.

Popular cricket figures reacted to the video.

This is what happens when you bring a guy who also knows how to play football, said Sachin Tendulkar in response to the catch.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan hailed the catch as the best of all time, while Jimmy Neesham of New Zealand praised it as an exceptional catch.
