Have a look at what and why Bill Simmons spoke on his podcast that outraged everyone with video of him talking about Jalen Green going viral

Bill Simmons has outraged the media over his unprofessional words for Jalen Green, who ended his first NBA season as the second-leading rookie scorer in the league averaging 17.3 points per game which resulted in a very stunning beginning for him to make him into the All-Rookie first team.

While what everyone thinks of Green, Simmons doesn’t feel the same for the Houston Rockets star. The sports analyst Simmons chose Pelicans forward Herb Jones over the 20 years old Green on his All-Rookie team as he has a vote in the NBA’s postseason awards. The 52-year-old former sportswriter and podcaster explained why he chose Jones over Green but in an appropriate way that was not liked by the people as they reverted to backlashing Simmons.

Through an episode of The Bill Simmons Podcast, the CEO of the sports and pop culture website The Ringer, Simmons said, “Fu*k Jalen Green,” at the 1:08:00 mark in the episode. He also further said that he doesn’t oversee if Green makes 40 points and his team is 19-60. He then said, “Congratulations. Herb Jones is like guarding dudes in real games.”

Later on, Simmons realised it was a statement that can outrage people from the franchise but he didn’t care and said, “Now, the Houston people are going to be mad at me.” The podcaster then said that he like the players who win and apologised in a criticising way. “I’m sorry. Jalen Green will get there, it’s just that team was 21-61 this year or whatever.” The gesture did not really seem any positive for Green.

Meanwhile, when it outraged people, Simmons replied to a story by saying that he just meant to appreciate a rookie like Herb Jones. For him, Jones was the real one to contribute to his team “meaningfully” instead of just “putting up stats on a bad team”. He concluded in the end that Jalen Green is going to be an excellent player.

Following his words for Jalen Green, a lot of reactions were seen on social media with their different opinions, let’s have a look at it.
