Sarfaraz Ahmed and Shadab Khan were seen locking heads in the third ODI between England and Pakistan ensuing a catch
Over the last manifold years as Pakistan has nosedived as a cricketing country, the team has given us a bevy of bemusing moments. These inexplicable incidents are not only limited to the horrid bits of action on the pitch but range from brawls and spats amongst the side’s players themselves.
At the fore of such feuds has generally been wicket-keeper Sarfaraz Ahmed. His decadent personality has seen him get embroiled in a raft of tiffs with his own counterparts with him least interested in his own performances or the team’s harmony.
His petulant attitude resulted in another perplexing moment for the Pakistan cricket team. The act occurred during the third ODI between Pakistan and England, one which the visitors went onto lose to surrender a clean 3-0 sweep to the home side.
Sarfaraz Ahmed And Shadab Khan Involved In On Pitch Altercation
Both Sarfaraz and Shadab were seen rushing for Lewis Gregory’s catch as the English batsman hooked the ball straight up in the air as he went for the spectacular. While Shadab Khan managed to latch onto a good catch, Sarfaraz Ahmed was far from pleased.
Sarfaraz who had come onto the field as a substitute fielder was seen bickering with Shadab as the two went at loggerheads. The rift was an epitome of the torrid state Pakistan cricket is in at the moment with the side failing to defend a healthy 331 in the third ODI.
Taptaan bichara end main substitute fielder ke torr pe aya aur wahan pe bhi zaleel hogaya. Hate to see the end of #Sarfraz like this, a player like Shadab whom he had mentored is blaming him for leaving a catch in quite some fashion on an international stage 🤦🏻♂️ #ENGvsPAK #Shadab pic.twitter.com/URJki3MW0P

Lewis Gregory who struck 77 in 69 balls played a pivotal role in taking his side past the finishing line. He alongside James Vince who struck a century veered the English innings towards a third successive win despite losing half their side early into the chase.
The triumph was one which will go down into English cricket folklore not only due to the gusty manner it came in but also the identity of the squad which pulled it off. Despite being kanckered with a COVID outbreak prior to the series, a massively depleted English side managed to clobber Pakistan with ease.
