Duke Williams, a former wide receiver with the Bills, has been punished after throwing a helmet at an opponent in the CFL with his fight with Shaq Richardson video viral

After being seen participating in an on-field altercation before a CFL game that resulted in him swinging a helmet at an opponent, a former Buffalo Bills wide receiver is in serious trouble.

Duke Williams, a former Bills player who returned to the CFL this year, wasted little time getting into a fight before the 2022 Touchdown Atlantic game’s opening kick-off.

Williams and Argonauts defensive back Shaq Richardson were seen in the video arguing before Williams threw Richardson’s helmet back at him. Williams was charged with spitting in Richardson’s face at the time of the incident as well.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders’ wide receiver received a one-game suspension as TSN reported.

According to CFL commissioner Randy Ambrosie, such pre-game hostilities are inappropriate, and the use of a helmet as a weapon is extremely dangerous. Neither is acceptable.

Eli Mencer, an Argo’s defensive lineman, was also given a one-game suspension for using foul language at a referee during the same game. The final score was 30-24 in favour of the Argos. Williams has participated in five games for the Roughriders so far in 2022 and has 18 receptions for 319 yards and three touchdowns.

Duke Williams, a wide receiver with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League, was born on May 13, 1993. (CFL). At Auburn, he played collegiate football. He made his career debut in 2017 with the Edmonton Eskimos after being undrafted and spent the 2016 summer with the Los Angeles Rams.
